Providing treatment and support for individuals and families dealing with alcoholism, other drug addictions and related problems
Atlantic Prevention Resources (APR) Treatment team is committed to providing the highest quality of service by using evidence-based practices and regularly measuring and improving performance outcomes. APR supports the empowerment of all people and believes that all clients, employees and stakeholders should be treated with dignity and respect. APR practices diversity and cultural competence in all activities and partnerships. APR believes that addiction to alcohol and other drugs is a medically based disease that is treatable.
In 2008, APR became licensed by the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services to provide outpatient and intensive outpatient alcohol and drug counseling for adults. Services include interventions, initial assessments, individual, group, and family counseling, and recovery support.
APR is a comprehensive alcohol and drug counseling center that specializes in treating alcohol dependence and drug addiction. If you or a loved one is having problems with alcohol or drugs, APR can help. Our program emphasizes our client's welfare above all else and is our leading guiding principal.
We believe that treatment of the individual as a whole; mind, body, and spirit is necessary to successfully develop the individual's strengths and capabilities that will help him/her to live a drug free, healthy life.
At APR we believe the most effective approach to treatment of chemical dependency incorporates a combination of counseling, a strong network, and active involvement in the recovery community. Recovery must be an ongoing process, taking into account each aspect of life that is altered by alcohol and drug use.

Treatment Philosophy
APR's treatment program is based on research indicating that effective intervention and treatment results in long periods of sobriety, abstinence and/or reduced drug use. We also believe that treatment results in a reduction in negative consequences for patients, their families, friends and society.
As alcoholism and drug addiction are chronic disorders, continued treatment and support services are required after any initial course of treatment.
We believe that addiction to alcohol and other drugs negatively impacts all sectors of society regardless of age, education, race/ethnicity, gender, occupation, or socioeconomic status.
Finally, treatment should meet the specific needs of each individual, and a variety or treatment services ensures that clients will be matched with the most appropriate type of treatment.
